MyBond: a social network for the international development sector
MyBond Online Community
Over the last few months we have been working on an exciting new online community website for Bond, the membership body for UK-based NGOs working in international development.
We've been given the fairly ambitious task of taking the best features of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and incorporating them into an online community website specifically tailored to Bond's NGO members.
We're building the platform in Drupal CMS, which offers an impressive choice of modules to support collaborative working practices: the site features group workspaces, discussion forums, resource uploads and user profiles with social networking functionality such as following, liking and status updates.
Bond have been letting people know about the progress of the project on the MyBond page of their website. There is a definite buzz around the new site at the moment and we look forward to sharing more information in the coming months ahead of its grand unveiling in September.
